Mr Fursenko informed the President about work on the legislative base for intellectual property rights. He reported that the Government has approved the draft law regulating the transfer of technology, the rights of which belong to the state. Government resolutions setting out who receives the profits from the use of such technology have been drafted. The Government also plans in the near future to examine the issue of patent attorneys who will ensure the exercise and implementation of all intellectual property rights.
On Mr Putin’s initiative, the situation regarding payment of wage bonuses for doctoral degree holders among research staff working in the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences was also discussed.
