Minister Shoigu briefed the President on measures being taken to protect populated areas from spring floods.
The head of state drew Mr Shoigu's attention to interaction with small- and medium-sized businesses, and noted that when businesses undergo health and safety checks, including with respect to fire safety, the Ministry imposes an excessive amount of administration on the businesses. The President instructed the Minister to reduce the volume of health and safety measures required from small- and medium-sized businesses, but to ensure that all safety regulations are nevertheless still implemented.
The Minister also announced the creation of the National Centre for Crisis Management. This is a comprehensive centre based on new generation principles designed to ensure operative management and emergency response in extraordinary situations, as well as to prevent and eradicate such situations.
