During their talks the heads of state discussed a wide range of issues in Russian-Armenian cooperation, particularly cooperation in trade, economic and energy spheres, as well as topical issues for international security. Following the talks bilateral documents concerning trade, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation were signed in the presence of the heads of state.
The presidents of Russia and Armenia took part in launching a project to establish the first national data transmission network based on WiMAX technology in Armenia and attended the opening ceremony of the Russia Square in Yerevan.
On the same day Dmitry Medvedev also visited the Memorial Complex in honour of the victims of the Armenian genocide and laid a wreath of red roses at the monument.
