Leaders of SCO Member States (Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) and Observer States (India, Iran, Mongolia, and Pakistan) will discuss the SCO activities during the Russian presidency of 2008–2009, identify priorities, and consider topical issues affecting the Organisation's future work.
The BRIC Summit will be attended by the leaders of Russia, Brazil, India and China and focus on working together to combat the effects of the global financial and economic crisis and other aspects of cooperation in this promising format.
A series of meetings between Mr Medvedev and foreign leaders participating in these summits is planned in Yekaterinburg.
