The President instructed Mr Bortnikov and Mr Nurgaliyev to keep control of the situation in Ingushetia and report regularly on the investigation into the attack.
Mr Medvedev said that he is sending a plenipotentiary envoy to Ingushetia.
Mr Bortnikov reported that the attack on Mr Yevkurov took place as the President of Ingushetia was driving to work. A car filled with explosives exploded as the president’s convoy passed by. Mr Yevkurov is now in hospital.
The President instructed Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov to take all measures necessary to help those wounded and the families of those killed in the attack on the President of Ingushetia.
