The message reads, in part:
“The anniversary of the founding of your enterprise is a significant event for the domestic aviation industry. It is here that many legendary brands of combat aircraft were produced, aircraft that ensured the superiority of Soviet pilots in air battles in the Great Patriotic War. In the post-war years, thanks to the work and talent of several generations of specialists, your plant has become a scientific and production centre able to resolve multifaceted and critical tasks.
Today various samples of military and civilian aviation technology come to life, so to speak, within your plant, samples that have a wide range of functionality and the most advanced features. It is heartening to see that your products are in demand in international markets and that equipment you've created is successfully used in many different countries around the world.”
Planes produced by Irkutsk Aviation Plant have been exported to thirty-seven different countries.
Different versions of the Su-30MK multirole fighter aircraft are currently being mass produced: Su-30MKI for India, Su-30MKM for Malaysia, Su-30MKA for Algeria.
The mass production of the Airbus A320 components has also begun.
In the short term, another contract with Airbus will be started: the conversion of the Airbus A320 passenger aircraft into freighter.
