In a telephone conversation the President of Russia wished Serzh Sargsyan good health and new successes in government activities.
The state leaders briefly exchanged views on their future contacts.
Mr Medvedev also sent a congratulatory message to Mr Sargsyan which reads, in part:
“As a responsible politician, you do a great deal for the socio-economic development of Armenia and enhancing its credibility in the international arena. In Russia we highly appreciate your consistent efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between our countries and expand multifaceted cooperation.
I warmly remember our recent meetings in Moscow and St Petersburg. As usual, they were characterised by a constructive and trusting atmosphere and once again confirmed that Russian-Armenian relations have very good future. I am confident that this favourable environment will continue to facilitate political dialogue and cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the interests of our countries and peoples, and of peace and stability in the region.”
