The meeting examined the state of progress of the Affordable Housing National Project and its future prospects.
The President paid particular attention to mass-scale housing construction development, noting the need to introduce new industrial housing construction technology. Mr Medvedev called for the construction of inexpensive housing that meets the highest energy-efficiency and environmental standards, and gave his support to experimental investment projects for comprehensive territorial development that encompass not only housing but also construction of social, engineering and transport infrastructure.
The second main area of work on the national project is state support for the housing market. The President stressed the importance of new approaches such as using the maternity capital for housing needs, programmes for complete overhaul of apartment buildings, and support for people with mortgage loans.
Mr Medvedev also said that the state’s commitments to provide Great Patriotic War veterans with housing must be carried out in full.
