The situation in Ukraine was the main subject of discussion at the meeting. The participants exchanged views on the situation in the southeast of the country. Discussion of the Ukrainian crisis will continue within the Normandy format, which brings together Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany, after the ASEM Summit ends.
Taking part in the working breakfast were Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, French President Francois Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, and President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy.
