The President said, in particular, in his telegram:
“We highly value the trusting spirit of the political dialogue between our two countries, which is based on similar principles and approaches to key issues on the global and regional agendas. This is the guarantee of our continued constructive cooperation in the UN and other international forums.
We place great importance on developing mutually advantageous economic ties, and I am confident that we have all the opportunities we need for doing this. Some of the most promising areas include building and operating energy sector facilities in Zambia, and modernising the agriculture sector, including land improvement and irrigation.
I am sure that developing our business contacts will not only encourage trade and investment, but will also give a boost to the full spectrum of our bilateral relations.”
