The message reads, in part:
“This authoritative forum, which was established on your initiative, has earned deserved international recognition and influence. The Conference makes a useful contribution to supporting peace and stability in the region and developing multifaceted cooperation between the participating countries.
Russia continues to support CICA in every way in the aim of deepening dialogue on current regional cooperation issues, and we are sure that the Conference’s constructive work can help to build a solid architecture for security and stable development in Asia.
Based on the traditions of friendship and good-neighbourliness, we will continue to strengthen the alliances between our countries for the good of the Russian and Kazakhstani peoples and in the interests of the Asian region in general.”
The CICA member countries are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cambodia, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Palestine, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The USA, Japan, Ukraine, Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Bangladesh, and the Philippines have observer status, as do the UN, League of Arab States, and the OSCE.
