The President said, in particular, in his message:
“I send you my warmest greetings on the opening of this annual festival of Russian culture, which hospitable Japan is hosting for the ninth time now.
Millions of people from around Japan have had the chance over these last years to see some of the finest examples of Russia and its peoples’ cultural achievements. Active participation by young performers is a particular feature of the festival’s programme this year.
Our Japanese friends will have the chance to see the creative talent of our young musicians and actors, choral singers and students from choreography schools. Students from theatre and film schools will also present their talented works.
I am sure that these big, interesting and genuinely beautiful projects play an important part in developing cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries and can strengthen the mutual understanding and trust between our peoples.”
