The President resolved to create the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs with the aim of improving the structure of the federal executive agencies.
The Executive Order sets forth the Federal Agency’s functions and establishes that the Government of the Russian Federation shall manage its activities.
In accordance with the Executive Order, the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs will take on certain functions currently performed by the Culture Ministry and the Justice Ministry of the Russian Federation.
Corresponding instructions have been given to the Government of the Russian Federation.
