The three leaders exchanged views on the crisis in southeast Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk Agreements of February 12, 2015. In particular, they shared their thoughts in light of the upcoming Normandy Format (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine) foreign ministers’ meeting in Paris on June 23, and the latest meetings of the Contact Group and its working sub-groups in Minsk.
Mr Putin stressed once again the need for the Ukrainian forces to immediately end their firing against settlements in the Donbass region, and for activation of the political settlement process, resolution of constitutional reform issues, and rebuilding the social sector and the economy in the southeast regions.
The three leaders agreed to continue their personal contacts.
