Mr Yakushev said the region’s economy is growing. In particular, the industrial production index stood at 113 percent for 2014, and was 113.3 percent for the first four months of 2015. Growth was even higher in the processing sector, with a figure of 120 percent for 2014.
The Governor noted that the region’s demographic situation is improving too. Natural population growth came to 8,000 people in 2014, and 2,200 people for January-April 2015.
Looking at the employment situation in the region, the President asked Mr Yakushev to monitor the situation constantly. There are currently around 5,000 registered unemployed in the region.
