The message reads, in part:
“The Eurasian Economic Union is a major and unique integration project, the implementation of which has become possible due to many years of efforts on the part of the authorities, the expert community and the business and public circles of our countries.
Parliamentarians make a significant contribution to the promotion of Eurasian integration. Legislative activity largely determines the direction and dynamics of economic cooperation and creates conditions for enhancing the flow of investment, for removing protectionist barriers and for improving transport infrastructure.
The agenda of your meeting features important matters dealing, in particular, with the development of international ties within the Eurasian Economic Union, primarily in the Asia-Pacific region. The Silk Route Economic Band project, promoted by our Chinese partners, is of special interest in this context. I am certain that in dialogue with parliamentarians from China, you will be able to set the path for developing new mechanisms for mutually beneficial cooperation, blending various integration initiatives on the Eurasian space.”
The Eurasian Economic Perspective Forum is taking place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
