The message reads, in part:
“Russia’s diplomacy has always defended our country’s interests with consistency and determination. Today, continuing your predecessors’ excellent traditions, you perform your duties with honour and show your worth in resolving the important tasks before you.
The Foreign Ministry’s effective efforts played a big part in helping to reach agreements on the Iranian nuclear programme and launching the Vienna process to facilitate political regulation in Syria. The BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summits in Ufa were a success and made a big contribution to strengthening global and regional security and stability.
You must now build on these achievements and continue to actively defend basic principles of international relations, such as equal rights and mutual respect, political and diplomatic settlement of conflicts and crises, and collective efforts to find solutions to regional and global problems. Building a broad anti-terrorist coalition on a solid legal basis under UN aegis is a particularly important task today. Work to develop our mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners in all areas of both bilateral and multilateral relations is also as relevant a task as ever.
I hope that you will continue to give your all to your work, your creativity and initiative, in the interests of ensuring Russia’s dynamic development and continuing to strengthen its authority and influence on the world stage.”
