In his message sent to the President of Ukraine a few days ago, Dmitry Medvedev stressed that “in view of the anti-Russian position of the current Ukrainian authorities I have decided to postpone sending a new Russian ambassador to Ukraine. Specific dates will be determined later in light of the future development of Russian-Ukrainian relations.”
The President also announced his decision to postpone the arrival of Russia’s new ambassador to Ukraine on his video blog.
The Executive Order appointing Mikhail Zurabov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Ukraine was signed on August 5, 2009.
