Subjects discussed included development of the region’s main road network. Under the region’s plans, upgraded roads will link the main development hubs: tourism and production clusters, district centres, and the federal highways crossing the region.
Social development measures the region is implementing include the completion of several schools, and a children’s hospital. The main social sector task is to bring wages into line with the objectives set in the May 2012 presidential executive orders. Other priority tasks named by Mr Rudenya include developing the agriculture sector and small- and medium-sized business.
The meeting took place before the start of a meeting on developing agriculture in Russia’s central non-black earth regions.
