Vladimir Putin has signed an executive order releasing Leonid Reshetnikov from his duties as Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS), effective January 4, 2017, and has signed another executive order appointing Mikhail Fradkov Director of the Institute, effective January 4, 2017.
