Dmitry Mironov briefed the President on the work carried out in the three months since his appointment as Acting Governor of Yaroslavl Region. He said the region’s new government make-up has been approved, and work is underway on the long-term development programme. Priority directions include development of industry, the agro-industrial complex, culture, small and medium-sized business, and professional training for employees of the region’s largest enterprises, NPO Saturn and Avtodizel. Construction of a new building of an oncological clinic in Yaroslavl is being discussed with the Russian Government, and the construction of the Karabulinskaya Junction, which would alleviate congestion in Yaroslavl’s centre, where the city’s historical and cultural monuments are located, is being coordinated with the Transport Ministry.
Following the meeting, the President handed a certificate of acknowledgement to workers of NPO Saturn, a key Yaroslavl enterprise, for creating special equipment and strengthening the country’s defence capability.
