The message reads, in part:
“The Ski Track of Russia (Lyzhnya Rossii) has long become a significant and a festive event both for skiing professionals and amateurs. Each year it extends its geography and number of participants, attracts new fans of active recreation and healthy lifestyle of different ages, professions and hobbies. Of course, for many people these ski races serve as a start to major sports victories and triumphs.
I am confident that this competition will be held at the highest organisational level and will be an exciting and memorable event for everyone.”
The Ski Track of Russia race was first held in 1982 and this year will see the 35th annual ski race. This nationwide sports event, gathering both professional and amateur skiers, is held in 74 regions this year.
