The message reads, in part:
“Your meeting, which has brought together state officials and heads of the Emergency Situations Ministry’s central office and organisational divisions, will examine a broad range of issues concerning the review of the Single State Disaster Management System’s performance last year and its continued improvement.
SSDMS today is a modern, dynamically developing system that uses the latest technology and equipment. Joint work by the federal centre, the regions, and the SSDMS functional and territorial sub-systems have made it possible to reduce the number of accidents, fires and other emergencies and reliably protect people’s safety.
I would like to stress that the importance of the tasks before you requires continued effort to enhance the system for predicting and preventing manmade and natural disasters and every personnel member needs to show exceptional competence and devotion to their professional duties.
The state authorities will continue to give priority attention to providing the Emergency Situations Ministry with the latest equipment and training qualified specialists”.
