The message reads, in part:
“The partner ties between over 130 Russian and Belarusian cities are a vital component of inter-regional cooperation. Relations between municipal governments, businesses and civil societies help us implement promising economic, social, infrastructure, research, technological, educational, humanitarian and other joint projects.
It is indicative that not just Russian and Belarusian delegates but also people from other CIS countries are attending this meeting. This is evidence of the importance of the forum’s theme, Stronger Mutually Beneficial Cooperation Between Twin Cities as a Means of Strengthening Integration in a Changing World, which attracts broad public attention. I am confident that your meeting will be interesting and productive and that you will outline new areas for joint work.”
The Ninth Meeting of Russian and Belarusian Twin Cities is being held in Mogilev, Belarus, on March 30–31, ahead of the Day of Unity of Russian and Belarusian People, which is marked on April 2.
