The message reads, in part:
“Over the past 25 years, we have maintained and developed traditional relations of friendship and mutual trust between the peoples of Russia and Azerbaijan on a new interstate foundation.
We have developed a meaningful political dialogue and active ties between our parliaments and regions. We are strengthening our trade, economic, investment, research, technological and cultural relations and also ties between our civil societies. Moscow and Baku coordinate their efforts in dealing with current regional and global issues and effectively cooperate at various international organisations.
I am confident that by working together we will be able to continue to strengthen the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the fundamental interests of our people and in the interests of stronger peace, security and stability in the South Caucasus and beyond it.”
