The message reads, in part:
“Since its establishment, the school has gained great popularity and has become a true magnet for children from across Russia and abroad. It is a place where teachers truly care about the cultural education and creative development of young talents, where they learn the basics of their future careers.
I would like to point out that this remarkable international cultural project largely owes its success to its founders and leaders, Ivetta Voronova and Denis Matsuyev, as well as the dedicated and selfless work of outstanding Russian teachers, professors and mentors who generously share their expertise and knowledge with their students.
It is important that the children not only study their favourite arts but also participate in cultural and sports events at the school, and learn about Vladimir Region’s history and landmarks.”
Since 1993, the Summer School in Suzdal has accepted over 8,000 gifted children. This year more than 350 young musicians, singers, artists, poets and dancers aged 8 to 18 are attending. The geography of participants covers more than 60 Russian cities from Kaliningrad to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Italy and other countries.
