The message reads, in part:
“Your forum has become a respected research and practice platform for discussing current issues related to the improvement of library services, the modernisation of school libraries and the provision of the latest technologies to them.
The attainment of these goals is crucial for the development of education and for the personal growth of our young people. Libraries have always been the centres of education and useful recreation and also unique depositaries of scientific knowledge and our rich historical and cultural heritage.
We must attract the broadest possible public attention to this issue and also focus financial, organisational and personnel resources towards these goals.”
The Mikhailovskoye Museum Reserve, where the 10th National Forum of School Librarians is being held, is associated with the life and work of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
