During the meeting preparations for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi were the subject of discussion.
As he opened the meeting, Mr Medvedev noted the importance that Russia has always attached to the development of its relations with the International Olympic Committee.
The meeting was attended by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy, Vitaly Mutko, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Leonid Tyagachev, President of the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee Dmitry Chernyshenko, and member of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport, Excellence in Sports, Preparation and Organisation of the 2014 Sochi XXII Winter Olympics and XI Paralympics, and the 2013 Kazan XXVII Summer Universiade Alisher Usmanov.
