The message reads, in part:
“Participants in this high-profile gathering work towards an essential task that is very relevant in today’s world, to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and other heroic pages from our country’s history. They also help veterans, and work with school and university students, teaching them to be proud of their homeland, as well as the military feats and achievements of our fathers and grandfathers.
It is gratifying to see that more people are joining the Volunteers of Victory movement, making it even stronger and expanding its horizons. I know that your agenda will soon include initiatives devoted to today’s Russia, its stories of success and achievement.
I strongly believe that taking part in the Ready for Victory educational forum that brings together young people from various Russian regions will help you implement various initiatives and share your experience.
I would like to thank you and your comrades for your involvement, determination and commitment.”
The Ready for Victory educational forum is being held in Moscow on November 5–8. It has brought together over 400 people from all across Russia. The Volunteers of Victory movement was created in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
