Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron discussed the key aspects of the situation in Syria in the context of international efforts to eradicate terrorist strongholds and to ensure long-term normalisation in the country.
They also stressed the importance of consistently implementing the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2401, including on evacuating civilians from combat zones, ensuring humanitarian access to Eastern Ghouta and other Syrian regions, and providing medical assistance to the injured.
The presidents also agreed to continue contacts at various levels to facilitate the Syrian settlement process.
