Mr Putin and Mr Kurz discussed the situation in Syria, which has been aggravated by the missile strikes conducted by the United States and its allies, underlining the primary importance of providing humanitarian aid to the Syrian population and expressing their readiness to facilitate the resumption of inter-Syrian negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations.
Other topics of discussion included implementation of the agreements reached during the talks between Vladimir Putin and Sebastian Kurz on February 28 in Moscow, as well as preparations for the 50th anniversary of the start of natural gas deliveries from Russia to Austria.
