The message reads, in part:
“Your forum brings together in Nizhny Novgorod heads of federal and regional government agencies and representatives of the business and expert communities who will discuss a wide range of matters related to the implementation of the Government programme Enhancing Labour Efficiency and Supporting Employment. Pilot projects as part of this programme are already underway in a number of Russian regions.
Let me emphasise that enhancing labour efficiency is one of the key drivers of sustainable economic growth, facilitating the creation of modern jobs and overcoming urgent social issues.
In order to move forward and deliver on the objectives we face we need the regions, businesses and the leading corporations to work together. There is also a need to update laws and regulations, remove barriers that stand in the way of a modern labour market, and create additional incentives for companies striving to engage in technology upgrades. Being proactive in implementing best practices, including international ones, is also essential.
I have no doubt that the forum will be held in a constructive and business-like atmosphere, and the proposals and ideas that will be made during the event will be highly relevant.”
