This year, the forum’s central theme is Creating an Economy of Trust. The agenda includes round table discussions and business dialogues on the current state of the global economy and prospects for its development. In-depth exchanges are planned on the topics of trade, investment, finance, energy, high technology, demographics and environmental protection.
In addition, the following events will be held: the Business 20 Regional Consultation Forum (B20), the Russian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Forum (SME Forum), the International Youth Economic Forum and the session of the Arctic – Territory of Dialogue International Arctic Forum.
The plenary session will be the main event of the forum. It will be attended by the presidents of Russia and France, the Prime Minister of Japan, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde and Vice President of China Wang Qishan.
As part of the forum’s programme, the President of Russia will also meet with representatives of the international investment community, executives of major foreign companies and heads of global news agencies. Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron will meet with representatives of the Russian and French business communities, while together with Shinzo Abe, Vladimir Putin will meet with Russian and Japanese entrepreneurs.
A number of bilateral contacts on the forum’s sidelines are also planned for the President.
