The presidents of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan will discuss key aspects of cooperation in the Caspian region across various areas. They will also review the implementation of the decisions taken during previous meetings of the heads of state of the ‘Caspian five’.
Following the summit, the presidents will sign the Convention On the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, a document which has been in development since 1996. Additionally, a number of intergovernmental documents will be signed during the meeting.
