Presidents Dmitry Medvedev, Tarja Halonen, Laszlo Solyom and Toomas Hendrik Ilves toured the folk crafts and decorative applied and fine art made by the masters of Finno-Ugric nationalities who live in Russia.
Then the President of Russia and his distinguished guests mingled with local people in the city’s central square.
The City of Masters exhibition is part of the International Festival of Crafts, taking place during the 5th Annual World Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples.
The exhibition features hand-made articles in ceramics, birch bark, wood, metal, beads, fur, fish leather and other traditional materials used by Finno-Ugric masters.
