The message reads, in part:
“Your important, traditional event carries out a great mission by bringing together teachers, philologists and linguists from different countries to discuss a wide range of relevant issues related to promoting the Russian language and strengthening its positions as a language for international communication, as well as introducing modern teaching methods and promoting the values of Russian literature.
I note that it is largely due to the Association’s efforts and its significant educational and research projects that there are Russian schools and cultural centres operating all over the world and highly needed basic and applied research is being carried out. More and more foreign students come to Russian universities to study and train.
These responsible multifaceted activities of the Association deserve the deepest appreciation. They are of immense importance to building humanitarian contacts, developing multicultural communication and strengthening neighbourly, friendly relations between peoples.”
