The message reads, in part:
“The creation of this unique cultural, educational and expositional space is a major event in the public life of this country, and an important and strongly sought-after project in international humanitarian cooperation.
During the past few years, the staff at the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad has collected impressive volumes of archival documents, books, pictures and photos on the Russian World and people who had to leave Russia but kept their spiritual links with it and always felt empathy for the destiny of their Motherland.
I am convinced that such a large and meaningful exposition will be interesting to many people. The museum is bound to become a prestigious dialogue venue that will help promote cultural and scientific cooperation between our compatriots all over the world.”
