Mr Mokretsov announced preliminary results for tax collection in 2009.
According to him, as of November 1, 2009, the Federal Taxation Service had fulfilled the law on the federal budget by 95 percent. By the end of the year the amount in excess of anticipated targets is expected to be 360 billion rubles (about 12.4 billion USD).
The President noted that these figures bear witness to steady budgetary performance. This will enable the government to fulfill all its financial obligations, including the most important ones relating to pensions, wages for government employees and other costs entirely financed by the federal budget.
