The message reads in part:
“On the eve of National Unity Day your forum traditionally brings together in Moscow a large and close-knit team of participants, including representatives of the volunteer movement, NGOs, expert and business communities, vigorous and involved people who want to help develop cities and villages and improve the life of their compatriots by positive practices and initiatives. You are making your own contributions to solving important problems in education, healthcare, environmental protection, culture and tourism as well as in charity. You offer a worthy example of a pro-active civic stance and sincere love for your country. Such constructive labour bringing enormous benefit deserves deep appreciation and support.
Today you will sum up the results of your work and exchange experience and best practices. And, of course, you will discuss a wide range of issues, most important of which concern people’s involvement in the implementation of national projects and in strengthening public oversight over major social programmes. I would also like to point out the contest My Project for My Country intended to support the most needed initiatives successfully carried out in different Russian regions.”
