They discussed in detail the crisis in Libya, including preparations for the international conference on Libya in Berlin on January 19, 2020.
During the discussion of the developments around Iran, the importance of efforts to preserve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was reaffirmed.
Vladimir Putin and Charles Michel also talked about settlement in the south-east of Ukraine, emphasising that there is no alternative to the Minsk Package of Measures and that the sides to the intra-Ukrainian conflict must unconditionally implement all the decisions reached in the Normandy format.
It was agreed to maintain personal contact.
