The discussion covered matters of expanding coordination within Eurasian integration associations, including in the context of Tajikistan’s presidency of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in 2021. There was also an exchange of opinions on the situation in the Central Asian region, in the context of developments in Afghanistan.
Both leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening Russian-Tajik allied relations of strategic partnership. They agreed to instruct national agencies to jointly analyse certain aspects of practical cooperation.
