The message reads, in part:
“Your regular communication in this format enables us to compare notes on priorities of ensuring the sovereignty and security of our countries and the entire Commonwealth of Independent States, to exchange professional experience and discuss how to most effectively protect our citizens from internal and external threats.
The international situation remains challenging and unstable today. In this regard, it is important to make full use of the extensive analytical and forecasting resources of the Security Councils to thoroughly analyse the situation in the CIS space and identify potential challenges and risks. These efforts should pave the way for drafting and updating strategic planning documents, and making high-responsibility state decisions, primarily in the field of information and biological security, countering terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
I am confident that your meeting will serve to strengthen the CIS collective security system and will mark an important stage in your fruitful joint work for the benefit of our countries and peoples.”
