The two presidents discussed the issues linked with the start of Russia-EU talks on a new agreement and further trust-building measures in Europe.
Mr Medvedev spoke highly of Russian-French contacts at bilateral level and their cooperation in the world arena. He praised bilateral economic ties, particularly in car making.
