The two leaders noted the consistent development of traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial ties in trade, the economy and culture in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Strategic Cooperation between Russia and Egypt. They spoke about the delivery of Russian agricultural products to Egypt and the implementation of major joint energy and industrial projects. All these issues will be discussed in Cairo in a few days during the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission.
In the context of ensuring global food security, Vladimir Putin put forth Russia’s approach to the package of Istanbul agreements on the export of Ukrainian grain via Black Sea ports and the delivery of Russian foods and fertilisers to global markets, emphasising the importance of their integrated implementation.
The two leaders have agreed to continue coordinating the efforts of Russia and Egypt to settle crises in the Middle East and North Africa.
