The message reads, in part:
“Your wonderful northern territory is rightfully renowned for its ancient Christian holy sites, masterpieces of architecture and art, and unique folk crafts. I am happy to note that, thanks to the enthusiasm of many generations of your museum’s employees and their creative energy, these unique landmarks of the Vologda Region’s spiritual and material culture are carefully preserved, and they serve the noble goals of education. They instil love for the country’s history and respect for its national traditions in people, especially the younger generation.
It is important that the current staff continue the effort of their predecessors in a worthy manner, working with inspiration and wholeheartedly, finding new ways of interacting with visitors of different ages and professions, and prioritising advanced global museology trends in their work.”
