“April 6 will be the first anniversary of the passing of Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Today, his family and friends, fellow party members, government officials, representatives of civil society, business leaders, the media, and people of all ages, professions, and views, who understand and value Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s contribution to developing our state, all came together to commemorate him.
He was a patriot, a talented and extraordinary person, a respected politician and a brilliant speaker and debater. He created and headed the oldest political party in contemporary Russia and devoted many years of his life to serving as its leader. His knowledge, experience, and organisational skills were essential in his work in parliament as a legislator. Vladimir Zhirinovsky devoted his sincere efforts to delivering on the critical objectives of our country and was always firm when defending Russia’s sovereignty and dignity in front of any audience and during the most heated debates at international events. The interests of Fatherland were always of paramount importance to him.”
