The President inspected the sports, training and gym halls, the locker room, the climate control system, the mechano-therapy rooms, in-patient wards, hotel suites, a competition hall and the Martial Arts Museum. He was accompanied by Gazprom Board Chairman Alexei Miller, President of the Judo Federation of Russia Sergei Soloveichik and Olympic judo champion Mansur Isayev.
The Martial Arts Academy was established under the Gazprom for Children programme and is located in Sirius federal territory near Sochi. The sports complex is designed as a judo and sambo national team training facility. It can also host competitions on four tatamis simultaneously and can accommodate 2,000 spectators.
