Academician Dedov spoke about the endocrinology congress held recently and said that the centre was the first to substantiate a fundamentally new theory of autoimmune disease development in the world literature. He also spoke about the genetic and epigenetic factors that cause diabetes and the progress that has been made in treating it.
Vladimir Putin asked about the centre’s administrative development and said that, as agreed, additional funds had been allocated for the construction of a new building.
