The message reads, in part:
“For centuries, together with other peoples, the Finno-Ugric peoples have been making an important contribution to the development of our multinational country. Their impressive achievements in various areas of life have become an important, inseparable part of a rich historical, scientific, cultural and spiritual heritage. And today, during the special military operation, the representatives of the Finno-Ugric peoples are showing courage and bravery while building on the military and patriotic traditions of their ancestors.
I want to emphasise that the state will continue to prioritise the preservation of ethnic and cultural identity and to ensure civil unity, peace and accord in the country. It is rewarding that such authoritative public movements as the Association of the Finno-Ugric Peoples of the Russian Federation take part in this major, essential work.
I am sure that the current meeting will take place in a creative and constructive atmosphere and will jump start new promising information and educational projects.”
