The message reads, in part:
“This conference has emerged as an increasingly prominent platform within the international human rights community. This year, it brings together representatives from Eurasian, African and Latin American countries, including country ombudspersons, parliamentarians, government officials, academics and experts, as well as delegates from several international organisations.
I am certain that you will exchange your professional experiences during the debates and share details of your legislative work and best practices, while also discussing ways to protect the rights and freedoms of the people, and how to promote their economic, social, humanitarian and other interests.
There is no doubt that by working together in this way you contribute to promoting far-reaching, equal and mutually beneficial multilateral cooperation based on the principles set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This historical document is marking its 75th anniversary this year, and it remains a key benchmark for the entire international community in terms of human rights protection.”
